Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova and State Agency for Intellectual Property (GEPI) organized last night, in the Exhibition “Made in Moldova” the awarding ceremony “Trademark of the year 2013”. The event took place at the Republican Palace and was attended by the Parliament Chairman Igor Corman, many dignitaries, economic agents, representatives of the diplomatic corps. Trophies were handed by Lilia Bolocan, Director General of AGEPI and Gheorghe Cucu, Chairman of CCI RM.
During the ceremony, Igor Corman said that Moldovan products are quality products, which must be known, and people, who through their work, reach such results, are worthy of being appreciated.
“I want to assure you that in all this dialogue with the European Union we make every effort to also assure producers’ interests, so as you must be supported, have the possibility to be competitive and improve the quality of our products”, said the Parliament Chairman.
Lilia Bolocan specified that Trademark must be a marketing tool for national products.
“We want this evening to be a platform for communication, exchange of experience between representatives of enterprises in our country. We are glad to have new nominations this year, but also to have traditional participants”, said AGEPI Director General.
In turn, Gheorghe Cucu said that Trademark is important in the battle that goes on the market and trademark is the one bearing the brunt of a fierce and complicated competition.
During the years 2003 – 2012 in the contest were presented over 980 trademarks of enterprises from 16 regions of the country and from Chisinau and Balti. At this year’s competition were selected 150 trademark projects. They competed in 9 nominations: “Debut of the Year”, “Favorite of the Year”, “Socially Responsible”, “Export”, “Successful Rebranding”, “Consumer Appreciation”, “Regional Brand”, “Inter”, and “Heritage of the Republic”. At the eleventh edition of the contest “Trademark of the Year 2013” were awarded 86 prizes.
In the ceremony, there were granted 51 awards “Golden Mercury” for the following trademarks: “TATA” - Orhei-Vit JSC, “Franzeluta” - Chisinau Bakery, “Aroma Soarelui” – Floarea Soarelui JSC, “OM” - Rusnac MoldAqua Ltd., “Zorile” - Zorile JSC, “Creator Iu. Bors”' - Creator Iu. Bors Ltd., “Sindicard” - CB UNIBANK JSC, and “Moldova Gaz” - Moldovagaz JSC, etc.
Gold medals were awarded to 25 trademarks: chocolate “Bucuria” – Bucuria JSC, “5 inimioare” – ME “Südzucker Moldova” JSC, Sanatorium “Nufarul Alb” – Sanatorium “Nufarul Alb”, ”Lara” – Estate Stock “Lara” Ltd., etc.
Silver medals were awarded to 7 trademarks: www.999.md – Simpals Ltd., “Gard Line” – “Rultehcom” Ltd., “Etalon Prim” – Etalon Prim Ltd., etc.
Bronze medals were awarded to 3 trademarks: “Steclar” – Steclar Ltd., “Rultehcom” – “Rultehcom” Ltd., “Gravena” – Gravena Sanipro Ltd.
