AGEPI participated in the International Exhibition of Inventions and Innovations “TRAIAN VUIA” in Timisoara


From 25 to 27 May 2016, in Timisoara, Romania, was held the second edition of the International Exhibition of Inventions and Innovations “TRAIAN VUIA”.

Hundreds of curious visitors came to admire the products and services presented by inventors from 12 countries, including Norway, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine, Turkey, Iraq, China, Moldova, etc. In total, in the show, were exhibited over 200 inventions in areas such as mechanics, engines, machine tools, industrial processes, security, commercial, industrial and office materials and equipment, agriculture, animal husbandry, etc.

The event, co-sponsored by the Timis County Council, was organized by the Inventors Society of Banat.

Moldova was represented in the Exhibition “TRAIAN VUIA” by about 63 scientific works of inventors and researchers from the State University of Moldova, State Agrarian University of Moldova, Scientific-Practical Institute of Biotechnology in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Institute of Crop Production “Porumbeni”, Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection of ASM, ASM Botanical Garden, Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of ASM, Institute of Scientific Research in Agriculture from Tiraspol.

The works presented by inventors and researchers from the Republic of Moldova have enjoyed a high appreciation of the Jury, being awarded 28 gold medals, 16 silver medals, 15 bronze medals, 4 excellence prizes and 2 special prizes.

State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated in the Exhibition with an information stand, in which were offered information and consultations about the national intellectual property system. It was also promoted the system of validation of European patents in the Republic of Moldova, given that at the end of the last year, precisely on November 1, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Patent Organization on Validation of European Patents entered into force. Thus, according to the Agreement, as of 1 November 2015, inventors can validate their European patent applications and European patents in our country, enjoying the same rights and legal protection as national patents issued in the Republic of Moldova.

Traditionally, AGEPI selected and mentioned with distinctions and diplomas the most interesting inventions presented in the exhibition.

At the same time, the State Agency on Intellectual Property was awarded the diploma of excellence for supporting the Romanian inventions and promoting the International Exhibition of Inventions and Innovations “TRAIAN VUIA” in Timisoara.
