The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) invites interested parties to attend the launch of the WIPO Technology Trends Report: Future of Transportation, which will take place both online and in-person at WIPO headquarters in Geneva, on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
As part of the event, WIPO is also organizing an exhibition on the future of transportation “Imagining tomorrow, today”. It will showcase the latest technological innovations and future visions in transportation.
The report explores technologies and trends in land, sea, air and space transport, from electric and autonomous vehicles to smart infrastructure and digital logistics. The document examines current and future applications of technologies in this sector, their impact on companies, individuals and governments, and emerging trends that are transforming the industry. The aim is to inspire global collaboration to create a more sustainable, efficient and connected transport system.
The event will include:
- Presentation on the report’s key findings;
- Keynote address by a world-renowned global futurist;
- Debate with industry experts on the major changes shaping the future of transportation.
The report combines analysis of patent data and scientific literature with information on policies, regulations, standards and contributions from leading experts, providing a comprehensive perspective on the transportation sector.
