The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announces the launch of the 2025 edition of the Global Competition for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Intellectual Property. The competition is open to all SMEs and startups from 193 Member States of WIPO, including from the Republic of Moldova.
SMEs and startups active in all sectors of the economy – be it technology, agriculture, creative industries, etc., that use various intellectual property objects (IP): copyright, trademarks, patents or geographical indications can apply to the competition. An independent jury will select a pool of up to seven winners.
Benefits for the Winners:
- Global Recognition: Participation in the Awards Ceremony during the WIPO General Assembly in Geneva, scheduled for July 2025.
- Tailored Mentorship: Each winner will benefit from a tailored mentoring program focused on strengthening the use of IP, pursuing new business goals and facilitating access to funding opportunities.
- Special Mentions: Additional awards for Best Woman Entrepreneur and Best Youth Entrepreneur.
The application form is available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Japanese. The deadline for applying to the competition is March 31, 2025.
