The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in collaboration with Global Game Jam (GGJ) invites interested individuals to participate in the international event “Next Great IP Game Jam”, which will take place online, from October 9 to 27, 2025, aimed at young video game developers between the ages of 15 and 35.
Next Great IP Game Jam challenges participants to design video games with franchise potential, focusing on character development, branding and merchandising possibilities. During the competition, participants will benefit from tailored knowledge sessions led by experts from around the world, through which they will learn how they can use intellectual property rights – copyrights, trademarks, patents, industrial designs and trade secrets – to protect and valorize their creative ideas.
The best games from each region will be announced in November 2025, and the winners will receive mentoriship from industry leaders, promotion opportunities, professional development and networking opportunities.
Through this competition, WIPO seeks to spark young creators’ passion about intellectual property and provide them with the necessary tools to protect and develop their ideas from the early stages of creation.

The World Intellectual Property Organization and the State Agency on Intellectual Property encourage the active involvement of young creators, developers, designers and digital artists from the Republic of Moldova in initiatives dedicated to innovation and creation. In this regard, educational institutions, youth organizations and tech communities are invited to promote this opportunity among young people, contributing to the formation of a generation aware of the value of their own creations. Participation in such initiatives provides not only visibility, but also access to intellectual property protection tools, essential for the recognition and valorization of copyrights, patents, industrial designs and other forms of intellectual creation.
