The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on October 8, this year, in a hybrid format, chaired by Mr. Eugeniu Rusu, Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, President of the Commission.
During the meeting, 2 applications were examined and it was decided to grant permission to use the official or historical name of the State in the following trademarks:
with № R 16923,
with № 29798.
The fields of activity of the applicants for the permission refer to advertising; telecommunications; education; training; transport; public catering services; temporary accommodation services, etc.
In accordance with the legislation in force, trademarks, industrial designs containing the official or historical name of the State may be registered only with the permission of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design, the activity of which is regulated by Government Decision No 8/2022.
