With the view of staff training in the field of intellectual property, a new series of lasting training courses “Protection of Intellectual Property” is conducted at the AGEPI in the period of 16 October -14 February 2014 for the professional qualification “Counselor in Intellectual Property”.

The curriculum of training courses includes seven disciplines relating to the protection of intellectual property objects (inventions and patent information; industrial designs; trademarks; geographical indications, appellations of origin and traditional specialties guaranteed; plant varieties; intellectual property law; economy and valuation of intellectual property), with a total of 168 hours.

Lectures are delivered by qualified specialists of AGEPI.

Training is conducted on contract basis in Romanian. Upon completion of each discipline students take colloquia or exams, according to the curriculum and study programs.

For the current edition of the courses enrolled 14 persons, from both AGEPI and other institutions/organizations.

Also, in order to raise the level of knowledge of the intellectual property protection system and improve the quality of patent applications developed, in this year’s edition also participates a group of experts from the research & innovation and higher education institutions (16 persons), to which AGEPI gave the opportunity to attend free of charge the module “Inventions”. Thus, persons trained in these courses will have the opportunity to know both theoretically and practically not only the national system of protection of inventions, but also the international and European one, which is especially present in the context of integrating the scientific community of the Republic Moldova into the European Research Area.

Persons enrolled for the courses benefit from spaces appropriate to the training process and from the library with its own book fund, required for the disciplines taught.
