The representatives of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on February 3 in a round table entitled “Management of Intellectual Property Rights for Innovative Business”, organized online within the discipline “Innovation Management” for the third-year III students from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM).

The main purpose of the event was to promote and disseminate information on the national intellectual property (IP) system and to strengthen knowledge in the field of IP among students.

During the round table, Andrei Moisei, Principal Consultant, Communication and Training Division of AGEPI, spoke to the students about the management of intellectual property rights for innovative businesses. The AGEPI representative acquainted the participants with the general aspects of intellectual property and the ways of protection of IP objects, as well as aspects related to the enforcement of IP rights.

The event ended with a question and answer session. Finally, the participants were satisfied with the information presented by the AGEPI specialist and were interested in participating in such training seminars.

We should mention that, in 2011, AGEPI and ASEM concluded a Cooperation Agreement which provides for the training and improvement of the economic personnel’s skills in the field of intellectual property.
