Second Meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Moldovan-Swiss Project “Swiss PartnershIP Moldova”

The second meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Moldovan-Swiss Project Swiss PartnershIP Moldova took place on November 25, 2025, in Chisinau, held in videoconference format, with the participation of representatives of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI), as well as experts and institutional partners involved in the project’s activities.

During the meeting, the progress made in the implementation of the project during the period July - November 2025 was presented, including actions related to the consolidation of the regulatory framework in the field of geographical indications. At the same time, activities regarding the development of promotional materials for products protected by Geographical Indication (GI), Protected Appellation of Origin (PAO) and Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (TSG) were reported. Also, the trainings organized with the support of the project for the entrepreneurial environment on the valorization of intellectual property in the process of business development, as well as for law enforcement agencies and other public institutions, were reviewed.

In his message, the Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu RUSU, thanked the Swiss partners for the support provided and highlighted the significant contribution of the project in the implementation of the planned actions, emphasizing that this cooperation directly contributes to the consolidation of the intellectual property system in the Republic of Moldova.

The members of the Coordination Committee took note of the progress of the project implementation, reconfirmed the joint commitment to the successful completion of the ongoing activities and the cooperation of the partners in the implementation of the actions planned for 2026.

The Moldovan-Swiss Intellectual Property Project is part of the Global Program for Intellectual Property Rights of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), has a duration of four years and a total funding of 750,000 Swiss francs.
