In the period 21–23 May, in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan were held the works of the Seventh Economic Forum with the theme: Risk Management in an Era of Changes in G-Global Format and the Second World Conference ANTICOUNTERFEIT, events organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the United Nations Organization, under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Republic of Moldova was represented by Mrs. Lilia Bolocan, Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).
The works of the two events gathered together noteworthy names in politics and economics, such as Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tony Blair, Ex-Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Vuk Jeremic, Chairman of the 67th session of the UN General Assembly, Serik Zhumangarin, World Bank, and representatives of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO), National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (Sakpatenti), Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China (SIPO), State Agency for Copyright of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, European Investment Bank, etc.
The main objective of the Conference was the adoption of the Anti-Crisis Plan Concept for UN member states. Thus, on May 22, 2014, at the Conference organized in the framework of the Economic Forum and on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Bretton Woods Agreement (1944), the Anti-Crisis Plan Concept was approved unanimously.
In the event took place a series of dialogues focused on different themes: the global economic crisis, economic policy in the conditions of economic modernization, comprehensive strategies for reviving the economy, the future of the world economy, globalization yesterday, today and tomorrow, competition in the conditions of economic globalization, public perception of Eurasian integration, the role of women in modern economics, etc.
The Forum was concluded on 23 May, with the speech of Mr. Nursultan Nazarbaev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who presented the thanks and gratitude to all those who have contributed to the smooth organization of events and to participants who shared their national experiences. Also, Mr. Nazarbayev said that the Economic Forum turned from a mere regional platform for discussion to an important event of the international economic life, also attended by the young generation. Thus, the color of the closing session of the Economic Forum and Conference ANTICOUNTERFEIT have brought over 200 students, who performed a flash mob entitled – Connect to the G-Global family to face global challenges.
International Conference ANTICOUNTERFEIT and Economic Forum in Astana are an international platform for constructive dialogue of representatives of the government, business environment, scientists, entrepreneurs and producers, who actively fight against counterfeit production, ensure the protection of intellectual property rights and contributing to the creation of a civilized and well-developed market of products and goods.
