The 14th session of the Working Group on the Legal Development of the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs (H/LD/WG/14) was held from October 6 to 8, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Republic of Moldova was represented by Mr. Alexandru Șaitan, Head of the Industrial Designs Section, and Ms. Lilia Vermeiuc, Head of the National Trademarks Section of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).
During the session, the following topics on the agenda were examined and discussed:
- Report on Consultations Concerning the Topic of Priority Documents (H/LD/WG/14/2);
- Removing the Mono-Class Requirement (H/LD/WG/14/3);
- Formats of Representation of Designs (H/LD/WG/14/4);
- Assessment of the Impact of the Revision of the Schedule of Fees (H/LD/WG/14/5);
- Presentation of New Statistical Data on Language Use in the Context of the Possible Introduction of New Languages (H/LD/WG/14/6).
During the proceedings, the delegation of the Republic of Moldova supported the proposals formulated in the documents analyzed and supported the continuation of research in the areas concerned, with a view to modernizing and streamlining the Hague System.
Active participation in the 14th session of the Working Group represents a valuable opportunity for the Republic of Moldova to consolidate its position in the international community and to promote a modern, competitive and harmonized national intellectual property system with international standards.
