The participants’ presentations will be followed by a discussion panel and a question and answer session. Closing statements will be made by representatives of the World Tourism Organization and WIPO.
The event is open to the interested public, will be held in English, and participation requires prior registration. Any other additional information about the event as well as the registration link can be found here: https://www.wipo.int/meetings/en/details.jsp?meeting_id=73870.
The series of events dedicated to the Closing the Gender Gap in Intellectual Property is organized in response to a decision taken by the Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP) at its 22nd session and approved by the WIPO General Assemblies. This builds on a proposal from Mexico, whereby WIPO member states recognized the importance of reducing the gender gap in intellectual property and increasing women’s participation in IP ecosystems. The purpose of these events is to share best practices, lessons learned and research related to the gender gap in intellectual property, etc.
