Open Lesson on Copyrights of Plastic Artists


During the year 2014, AGEPI intends to organize several meetings with creative people in the country, in which to inform writers, composers, painters, graphic designers, architects, photographers, performers, filmmakers, actors about the legal aspects of copyright and related rights.

Thus, on 02.26.2014, AGEPI organized at the National Art Museum an opened a lesson entitled “Copyrights of Plastic Artists”, delivered by Ion Tiganas, Deputy Director General of AGEPI. The event was attended by members of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Moldova.

The event was a good opportunity to address such issues as moral and economic rights of painters, conditions of protection of the work of plastic art, importance of the right of resale and the right of access, form and terms of transmission of copyright.

Towards the end, participants shared some unfortunate experiences related to relationships with users of their works. In this context, it was agreed to continue the event in the near future.
