The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on March 23, this year, in a hybrid format, chaired by Ms. Inetta Panurco, Head of International Economic Cooperation Department within the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, Vice President of the Commission.

During the meeting, 4 applications were examined and it was decided to grant permission to use the official or historical name of the State in the trademarks: 

with the filing №  055311,

   with the filing №  055386,

with the filing №  R 20191,

with the filing №  054274.

The trademarks are to be used, according to the requests, for various categories of goods and services:

education; training; advertising; quality control and authentication services; beer; alcoholic beverages, except beer; etc.

In accordance with the legislation in force, trademarks, industrial designs and models containing the official or historical name of the State may be registered only with the permission of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design, the activity of which is regulated by Government Decision No 8/2022.
