State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) started the second stage of the campaign on information of librarians in the Republic of Moldova in the field of intellectual property.
During the campaign, there are organized a series of information and training seminars in the public district libraries that are part of the Novateca project, in order to enhance knowledge of librarians in intellectual property and to develop new system consultancy and promotion services for local communities.
Thus, from 21 to 27 February this year, AGEPI has organized training seminars at public libraries in the towns of Riscani, Edinet, Falesti and Cimislia. The seminars were attended by about 200 librarians, who were familiarized with the mechanisms of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, sources of documentation on intellectual property, especially databases in the field, with free public access, of both AGEPI and European and international. Also, during the seminars was distributed the intellectual property literature.
Information and training seminars on protection of industrial property, copyright and related rights for librarians working in public urban and rural libraries will be organized until April. The following seminars will be held in public district libraries in Straseni, Donduseni, Ocnita, Glodeni, Stefan Voda, Criuleni, Dubasari, Briceni and Ialoveni.
The first stage of the campaign on information of librarians in the field of intellectual property took place during 2014. Within the campaign have been organized seminars at 16 district public libraries, being schooled over 660 librarians.
