A New List of Symbols whose Protection was Requested under Article 6ter of the Paris Convention

On September 28, 2018, the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) published the list of symbols, the protection of which was requested under Article 6ter of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property.

If you consider that extending the protection to one of the notified signs may prejudice the rights in respect of a previous trademark or other intellectual property right, you can file an objection to this.

Objections regarding the protection of any of these signs must be filed with AGEPI within 12 months from the date of publication (until September 28, 2019). The formulated objections shall be filed free of charge, in writing, in the state language.
