According to the order of the Director general of AGEPI No. 12 of January 26, 2007, emitted on the basis of the decision of the Commission of Experts of the Nice Union on the International Classification of Products and Services (ICPS) with the scope of trademarks registration (CLIM/CE/20/9 of October 13, 2005), from January 1, 2007 it is applied the 9-th edition of the International Classification of Products and Services (ICPS).

According to the paragraph 1 of the Order:
a) In all the applications for trademarks registration filed after 01.012007 the products and/or services will classified according to the 9-th ICPS edition;
b) products and/or services included in the application for registration of trademarks with the date of filing after 01.01.2007 being not classified or the classification being not made in accordance with the ICPS 9-th edition, will be classified by AGEPI on condition of paying the corresponding fee;
c) shall not be reclassified products and services:
- included in the applications filed before the date of 01.01.2007;
- at the renewal of trademark registration.

The abstract of the classes in accordance with the 9-th edition of ICPS are represented on the address http://agepi.md/md/marci  and will be published in BOPI No.2/2007.
