National Intellectual Property System, promoted in an Exhibition of Inventions in the Czech Republic

On 16-17 June 2016, in Třinec, Czech Republic, was held the International Exhibition of Technical Innovation, Patents and Inventions “INVENT Arena”.

The event, at the first edition, was organized by the Industrial Property Office and the Czech Academy of Sciences, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. The exhibition was attended by inventors from 21 countries, who presented more than 200 inventions and technologies. A jury formed of international experts appraised the inventions of the participants exhibited at the exhibition. The best exhibits were awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals as well as special prizes.

Moldova was represented in the International Exhibition of Technical Innovations, Patents and Inventions “INVENT Arena” by the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).

At the stand of AGEPI were also exhibited 5 inventions of Moldovan inventors who were registered at the exhibition, appreciated with one gold and one bronze medal.

Also, at the exhibition stand of AGEPI were presented information materials referring to the national intellectual property system, were promoted products with geographical indication from the Republic of Moldova and were provided information on validation of European patents in the Republic of Moldova. AGEPI specialists have also launched the invitation of participation in the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”, fifteenth edition, which will take place in November 2017.

Traditionally, AGEPI has awarded three medals for the works presented at the exhibition by: young inventors from Macedonia for the “Electric device for footwear disinfection with volatile liquids”, women inventors from Taiwan for “Multifunctional tricycle” and inventors from the Czech Republic for “Interactive multimedia test and alphabet”.
