On July 31, 2026, members of the Observatory on the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights (ODPR Observatory) of the Republic of Moldova participated in an online meeting organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property, in partnership with the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights (EUIPO Observatory), within the framework of the EU4IP project.

The event aimed to familiarize participants with the activity of the EUIPO Observatory and with the tools developed to support competent authorities and rightholders in ensuring the enforcement of intellectual property rights.

The objectives and main directions of activity of the EUIPO Observatory, as well as the tools and resources aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of combating counterfeiting and piracy, including the European cooperation mechanism EMPACT were presented during the meeting.

Special attention was paid to the IP Enforcement Portal (IPEP) – a secure platform that facilitates the exchange of information between intellectual property rightholders and law enforcement authorities. Participants were informed about the functionalities of the platform, the benefits of its use in the identification and verification of products suspected of counterfeiting, as well as about the IPEP mobile application, which allows quick access to the necessary information during controls and investigations. The IP Detention Dashboard was also presented, an analytical tool that provides access to data and statistics on the detention of goods suspected of violating intellectual property rights, thus supporting the analysis of trends and planning of law enforcement actions.

The activity was organized in the context of the implementation of the Action Plan for the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in the Republic of Moldova for the years 2026–2029, contributing to the strengthening of institutional capacities and the development of cooperation between the EUIPO Observatory and the EIPR Observatory.
