On July 22 this year, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova launched the Catalog “Made in Moldova”, edition that includes the most advanced and competitive local companies and trademarks that have won in the contests “Trademark of the Year 2014” and “Award for Achievements in the Field of Quality”.
The contest “Trademark of the Year” is in the twelfth edition, being organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova in partnership with the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), and the contest “Award for Achievements in the Field of Quality” was organized for the first time in the current formula in partnership with several institutions of quality infrastructure and consumer protection.
According to Mr. Valeriu Lazar, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, the Catalog “Made in Moldova” aims to highlight the best companies and the most powerful local trademarks. This catalog will be distributed as information material to international delegations foreign officials during the business visits and also to investors interested in local companies.
Said contests aim to increase competitiveness and enhance the capacities of Moldovan enterprises, the economic development and to create a favorable business image of the country, and not in the least, to promote domestic producers in the international economic community.
Through the contest “Trademark of the Year”, the organizers encourage, in particular, small and medium enterprises to develop their own trademarks. The event is organized traditionally during the national exhibition “Made in Moldova” providing a unique opportunity for highlighting the leaders and setting the dynamics of consumer behavior in the domestic market.
This year companies are invited to sign up for the competition of best advanced companies until October 30, 2015.
