On April 26, in a festive meeting of the National Commission of Heraldry dedicated to the State Flag Day, Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Lilia Bolocan, and President of the National Commission of Heraldry, Mariana Slapac, have signed the Cooperation Agreement on IP between AGEPI and the National Commission of Heraldry under the President of the Republic of Moldova.
The agreement signed by the two parties provides for the strengthening and deepening of cooperation relations in the field of intellectual property and expertise of symbolic ensigns to form an appropriate professional environment of scientific and legal expertise, exchange of official publications and legislative acts in the field of IP, organization of seminars, thematic conferences, training of specialists, etc.
The Agreement signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Silviu Tabac, State Heraldist of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandru Ohotnicov, Head of the General Law Department of the Presidential Administration, and members of the National Commission of Heraldry.
In the same meeting, members of the National Commission of Heraldry also approved the national emblems to be used for marking products that will be marketed under a geographical indication (GI), an appellation of origin (AO) and traditional specialty guaranteed (TSG), the national emblem of the cultural and scientific cooperation with Eastern countries, the far-reaching heraldic activity program in the Republic of Moldova and the conception of some new territorial and corporate heraldic ensigns.
