On 12 April this year, during the visit made to the National Institute of Justice, General Director of the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Lilia Bolocan, and Executive Director of the National Institute of Justice, Mrs. Anastasia PASCARI, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between NIJ and AGEPI, which aims to establish sustainable relations between the two institutions in the context of professional training of judges and prosecutors in the field of intellectual property, in accordance with European norms and standards.
Signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation will facilitate joint efforts of both institutions for the promotion and dissemination of knowledge on the national system of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights among employees in the justice sector of the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, the leaders of both institutions have stressed the importance of cooperation with a view to professional training of the national staff in the field of intellectual property by organizing conferences, joint workshops, thematic discussions, roundtables, referring to the assessment of the current situation and the needs, in the context of reforms in the Republic of Moldova, examination of international practice and standards and shaping the solutions of adjustment to Community rules in the field of professional training of judges.
