AGEPI Representatives participated in the PRIA COMPETITION MOLDOVA Conference dedicated to Fair Competition and Consumer Protection

The representatives of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on July 3, 2025, in the PRIA COMPETITION MOLDOVA Conference, a landmark event in the field of competition, organized by PRIAevents, in partnership with the Competition Council of the Republic of Moldova. The event took place at the Digital Park Chisinau, bringing together leaders from multiple economic sectors: finance and banking, insurance, retail, energy, telecom, IT, industry, health, automotive, agriculture, construction, services and more.

AGEPI was represented by its Director General Eugeniu Rusu, who delivered a speech during a panel discussion, addressing topics of interest regarding the correlation between trademarks and free competition and underlining the importance of protecting intellectual property rights in an economy based on innovation and fair competition. “In the context of the intensification of commercial activities and the increase in competition on the internal market, especially in the perspective of Republic of Moldova’s accession to the European Union, these aspects acquire particular relevance for ensuring a fair competitive climate and for protecting consumers”, said Mr. Eugeniu Rusu.

The PRIA COMPETITION MOLDOVA Conference is part of a series of events organized by PRIAevents, recognized for addressing current topics with a major impact on the national economy and the business environment. The conference discussed the latest legislative developments in the field of competition, analyzed relevant case studies and shared good practices between specialists and decision-makers from different fields.
