From December 9 to 11, 2025, the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) was represented by the Head of the Internal Audit Service, Alexandru Luțcan, at a training workshop held in Chongqing, China. The event was a practical step in the implementation of the initiatives launched by the Chinese Government at the Third Belt and Road High-Level Conference on Intellectual Property, organized in September 2024.
The workshop brought together participants from several countries, including China, the Republic of Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Officials present at the event included Wang Ying, Deputy Director General of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, and He Dawei, Director General of the Chongqing Intellectual Property Office, who delivered welcoming messages to the participants.
The workshop agenda included sessions dedicated to the development of policies and strategies in the field of intellectual property rights protection in China, as well as the creation of a platform for the exchange of information and experiences among the participating countries. The program also included working visits to the Chongqing Intellectual Property Office, an innovative company in the region, and Chongqing University of Technology, with a focus on the application and promotion of intellectual property.
AGEPI’s participation in this event provided an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation and share knowledge and good practices with representatives from other countries, especially those in the intellectual property system of China.
