The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated, on May 13, this year, together with other public authorities from the Republic of Moldova in the celebration of Europe Day 2023, within the European Village. The event was organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova and took place in the Great National Assembly Square.
AGEPI specialists were present at the event with information and consultations in the field of intellectual property and provided informative materials on IP rights and ways to protect them.
The celebration of Europe Day through the European Village gave AGEPI the opportunity to emphasize the importance of respecting intellectual property rights, especially in the context of the European integration of the Republic of Moldova.
During the European Village, residents and guests of the capital could visit tents with presentations of projects financed by the European Union, where they learned information about the assistance granted by the EU for the development of the Republic of Moldova. The event also offered visitors the opportunity to enjoy European culture and cuisine and more, through the presence of the Embassies of EU Member States and partner countries.
Under the theme EU-MOLDOVA: STRONGER TOGETHER, the activities of Europe Day 2023 will take place throughout May and will highlight the values and culture of the European Union, as well as the assistance provided by the EU and its Member States, for the benefit of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
Europe Day is marked annually on May 9 by the European community and partner countries, in memory of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, Robert Schuman, who proposed in 1950 the establishment of a new form of political cooperation in Europe, aimed at preventing war between Europe’ nations. This day is considered as the date of initiation of European integration.
