BEST Hackathon 2017 ended. For 24 hours, 65 participants, students of different ages, worked intensively to seek a solution to the challenge of the organizers.
The challenge this year included a charge related to the area-scanning. Participants, grouped into 14 teams, had to identify the person’s position within a makeshift lobby and connect to one of the cameras in the area where the person is located. To resolve this problem, students were given a smartphone as a Bluetooth scanner and five transmitters.
After the presentations of each team, the jury, composed of specialists from an IT company, has selected the winning teams of the Best Hackathon 2017. First ranked the team “See Sharp” composed of the following members - Valeriu Balan, Marian Bejenari and Dorin Balan. Winners got various awards.
State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) has been a partner of BEST Hackathon 2017 and awarded prizes to participants.
The event was held on 4 and 5 February and was organized by BEST Chisinau, a local group of the Board of European Students of Technology, a student, apolitical, nonprofit organization at European level that aims to facilitate the relationship between students, companies and universities.
