The solemn meeting dedicated to the Inventor’s and Rationalizer’s Day took place on June 27, this year - an annual celebration that highlights the essential role of inventors and rationalizers in the development of modern society. The event was held in the presence of researchers, inventors and rationalizers, as well as representatives of public institutions and academia.

The event was organized with the aim of recognizing and promoting the merits of those who, through innovative ideas, technical creativity and perseverance, contribute to technological progress, increasing the competitiveness of the national economy and strengthening the scientific potential of the Republic of Moldova.

During the event, the Deputy Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Natalia Mogol, addressed a congratulatory message to all inventors and rationalizers in the country and thanked for the valuable contributions of those who are not afraid to think differently and go beyond the boundaries of the conventional, emphasizing the importance of innovation in the development of society.

Inventor’s and Rationalizer’s Day “is an opportunity to pay tribute to all those who, through intellectual work, passion and perseverance, contribute to the technological, scientific and economic progress of our country. AGEPI will continue to be an essential pillar in the protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights, consistently supporting innovation and creativity in the Republic of Moldova. Let us not forget that every patent, every practical solution and every improvement counts. You are the ones who give life to progress,” said Natalia Mogol.

Also, during the festive meeting, AGEPI diplomas of mention were awarded to the most active inventors and most active women inventors of the last year 2024, depending on the number of applications filed and the number of patents obtained: Mr. Sulaiman Alsaliem, Dr. of Med., senior scientific researcher, “Nicolae Testemiţanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Mr. Vladimir Carauș, Dr. of Biol., scientific researcher in medicine, Public Institution Institute of Physiology and Sanocreatology of the Ministry of Education and Research, Ms. Mariana Caraman, Dr., lecturer, Technical University of Moldova (TUM), Ms. Aliona Ghendov-Moşanu, Dr.Hab.of Eng., associate professor, TUM, Ms. Rodica Sturza, Dr.Hab.of Techn., professor, TUM.

Inventor’s and Rationalizer’s Day, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova No 193 of 19.06.1995, is celebrated annually in the Republic of Moldova to encourage creative initiative, applied research and knowledge transfer in key sectors of the economy. Through such events, the authorities aim to strengthen the innovation ecosystem and cultivate a culture of recognition and stimulation of technical and scientific merit.
