On 18 May this year, AGEPI, alongside of other institutions and organizations in the Republic of Moldova, was present at the Europe Day events, held by the European Union Delegation to Chisinau within the framework of the European Village, disseminating relevant information in the field of intellectual property protection, including Public Consumer Awareness Campaign “STOP Piracy and Counterfeiting!”.
Europe Day in Moldova was inaugurated in the Square of the Opera and Ballet Theatre at 14.00, by opening the doors of the “European Village” - action organized by the EU Delegation to Chisinau with the support of Member States’ diplomatic missions accredited in Moldova, in order to share culture, traditions and cuisine of these countries.
The event was attended by Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle, ambassadors of EU member states accredited in Moldova, Designated Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Iurie Leanca, members of the Cabinet of Ministers in exercise, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
During the event were held public debates across the political and economic aspects of cooperation European Union - Republic of Moldova, with the participation of the ambassadors of the EU member states accredited in Moldova and Moldovan officials, representatives of public authorities in the republic, including AGEPI, were arranged information corners for visitors, etc.
