During the period 14-16 October 2026, the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated in the 23rd edition of the International Exhibition of Scientific Research, Innovation and Inventions PRO INVENT, held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Organized by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, the PRO INVENT Exhibition is a reference event for promoting the results of scientific research, innovation and creativity. This year’s edition brought together over 350 inventions and innovations from fields such as mechanics, electronics, health, agriculture, energy and environmental protection, offering researchers, inventors, universities and companies opportunities to present results, exchange experiences and identify new perspectives for cooperation.
AGEPI was present at the event with an information stand, where the Agency’s specialists provided visitors and participants with information about the intellectual property protection system in the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, information and promotional materials were distributed, including the invitation to participate in the International Specialized Exhibition INFOINVENT-2027.
During the exhibition, AGEPI traditionally awarded distinctions to higher education institutions for their contribution to the promotion of innovations, inventions and intellectual property. Thus, AGEPI medals were awarded to the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași and the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu. As a sign of high appreciation for the organization and holding of the 23rd edition of the PRO INVENT Exhibition, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca was awarded the Diploma of Excellence and the AGEPI Gold Medal.
In turn, AGEPI was awarded the Diploma of Excellence and the PRO INVENT Gold Medal, in recognition of its contribution to supporting and promoting inventiveness during this year’s edition.
The awards ceremony ended with the awarding of the grand prizes of the exhibition. The Grand Prize of the PRO INVENT-2026 Exhibition went to the National Institute for Research and Development in Environmental Protection (INCDPM) in Bucharest. The Grand Prize of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca was awarded to the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, and the Grand Prize of the European University of Technology EUt+ was obtained by the Technical University of Łódź, Poland.
AGEPI’s participation in PRO INVENT 2026 was an opportunity to strengthen cooperation relations with the academic and research environment, as well as to promote the national intellectual property system within an international event dedicated to innovation. At the same time, the Agency’s presence contributed to highlighting the role of intellectual property in valorizing research results, stimulating creativity and increasing economic competitiveness.
The PRO INVENT Exhibition thus reconfirms its role as a platform for promoting scientific and technological achievements and facilitating dialogue between research, the business environment and institutions that support the development of innovation.
