AGEPI participated in the 2025 International Copyright Forum

10/23/2025

The Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Eugeniu Rusu, participated  in the 2025 International Copyright Forum, held in Qingdao, China. The event, entitled “Creative Industries in Digital Age: Reimagining Copyright-Driven Development”, was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the China’s National Copyright Administration (NCAC), with the support of the Shandong Provincial Copyright Bureau and Qingdao Municipal People’s Government.

The forum brought together representatives of intellectual property offices, copyright authorities, international and regional organizations, as well as academia and creative industries from around the world. The event provided a platform for dialogue to address the most current challenges of copyright protection in the context of digital transformation.

The Forum’s agenda included presentations and thematic discussions on the role of copyright in stimulating creativity and economic development, the impact of digitization on music, publishing and audiovisual industries, as well as the prospects for adapting national systems to new technological trends. At the same time, participants had the opportunity to make study visits to the China International Copyright Expo (CICE) and to regional centers of innovation and creative production.

The presence of the Republic of Moldova at the 2025 International Copyright Forum contributed to the strengthening of cooperation relations between AGEPI, WIPO and international partners in the field of intellectual property, as well as to the promotion of national experience in the field of copyright protection and exploitation.

The International Copyright Forum represents one of the most important global platforms dedicated to the exchange of good practices and policy development in the field of copyright, with the main objective of supporting the sustainable development of creative industries in digital age.
