The International Exhibition of Innovation and Technology Transfer “EXCELLENT IDEA-2026” is taking place in Chișinău from September 23 to 25, 2026, organized by the Innovation and Technology Transfer Center in cooperation with the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, and the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemițanu”. The event has brought together researchers, inventors, and entrepreneurs from both the country and abroad.
The exhibition aims to promote inventions, innovations, research project results, ISI-indexed scientific articles, and published scientific literature, providing a valuable platform for dialogue, cooperation, and the exchange of experience. The exhibition represents a significant step in strengthening the national research ecosystem and serves as a catalyst for transforming creative ideas into successful achievements.
The event is closely linked to the field of intellectual property, as the innovations and creations presented require legal protection to be effectively utilized and promoted. Intellectual property plays a crucial role in recognizing and protecting the contributions of researchers and inventors, as well as in enhancing the market competitiveness of products and services.
The exhibition’s inauguration ceremony was attended by Ms. Natalia Mogol, PhD, Deputy Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), who in her welcoming message congratulated the organizers and highlighted the event’s importance for the academic and research communities. Ms. Mogol also invited the attendees to visit AGEPI and emphasized the importance of intellectual property protection for researchers and inventors, noting that such protection should be sought at the beginning of the research stage rather than at the end. Protection is a prerequisite for valorizing everything that is created. “The year 2026 is a very important one in the field of intellectual property. As of June 1, the Republic of Moldova became a member state of the European Patent Organisation (EPO). This offers advantages to inventors, who can benefit from protection across all 40 member states of the European Patent Convention (EPC) under highly favorable conditions,” stated the Deputy Director of AGEPI.
AGEPI’s participation in this event provided an opportunity to promote the national intellectual property protection system, particularly in the context of promoting the International Specialized Exhibition “Infoinvent”. AGEPI specialists offered free consultancy to participants, explaining the importance of protecting innovative creations, trademarks, inventions, and industrial designs. Informational and promotional materials on intellectual property rights were also distributed.
The exhibition agenda includes a series of manifestations, such as book presentations, presentations of scientific papers, and others. A total of 388 participants registered for the 5th edition, representing higher education institutions from the country and abroad, research institutes, research associations, and the business environment.
