AGEPI Launches the Contest in the Field of Intellectual Property for Young People, 9th Edition

The 8th-12th-grade pupils from the Republic of Moldova and Romania are invited to test their creativity in the Contest in the Field of Intellectual Property for Young People, 9th edition.

Initiated in 2017, the Contest is organized annually by AGEPI, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova (MER), the Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM) and the Romanian Copyright Office (ORDA), in the context of World Intellectual Property Day. The 9th edition of the Contest will be held under the theme “IP and music. Feel the beat of IP”, theme proclaimed by the World Intellectual Property Organization for the year 2025.

The purpose of the competition is to increase the interest of the young generation in the field of intellectual property, to train and strengthen the knowledge and skills of innovation and creativity, to raise their awareness of the negative phenomena of counterfeiting and piracy, to develop the skills and competitive spirit, as well as the volitional and intellectual qualities of young people.

The Contest may be attended by the 8th-12th-grade pupils from the vocational, post-secondary vocational and lyceum education institutions of the Republic of Moldova and Romania.

The competition will be held in two stages, as follows:

  • stage I: January 10 – February 10;
  • stage II: February 11 – April 10.

During the first stage of the Contest, after completing the registration form, participants will be sent a set of questions. After receiving the questions, the pupils will have three days to send the answers to the address proposed by the organizer.

Each participant, who passed the second stage of the Contest, will prepare a paper (Power Point presentation, play, interview, video, study, drawing, etc.) in the field of intellectual property, according to one of the themes selected from the list proposed by the organizer. Participants in the Contest will send their papers by April 10.

The evaluation of the papers from the 2nd stage of the Contest will be carried out by the Organizing Committee during a summation meeting to which all finalists will be invited. According to the Regulations, participants will be able to win attractive prizes and will have the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their potential in this important field for our society.
