AGEPI - Informational Partner of the Exhibition dedicated to the Italian Design Day in Moldova

03/26/2019

The exhibition dedicated to the Italian Design Day is held from 23 to 30 March, at Castel Mimi, the village of Bulboaca, which hosts over 10 of the most famous Italian brands: Ferrari, Flos, B&B, Emil Group, Vespa, etc.

The event is organized by the Italian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and the Public Association for Sustainable Development and Social Welfare through the Design Cafe & Club platform.

The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participates as an informational partner of the event.

For AGEPI, participation in this event is a great opportunity to re-emphasize the importance of design in a sustainable, innovation-based economy that we also want to build in our country. At the same time, we take this opportunity to sensitize designers, creative people and entrepreneurs to the advantages of industrial design protection, other intellectual property objects, and the risks they face if they do not protect their rights.

On Saturday, 23 March this year, was inaugurated the Italian Design Day in Moldova, an event with the main title “Design and the City of the Future”

The inauguration began with a design workshop by architects Arnaldo Tranti, ambassador of Italian Design Day 2019, who gave a new life to Mimi Castle, and Patrizio Corno, ambassador of Italian Design Day 2018, who told local architects and designers about the symbiotic link between the forms that objects can take and the way society evolves.

The event was also attended by the Ambassador of the Italian Republic, H.E. Ms. Valeria Biagiotti, head of the EU Delegation to Moldova, Peter Michalko, other representatives of the diplomatic corps, designers, architects and businessmen who had a perfect atmosphere for exchanges of impressive ideas.

In this context, the participants in the Italian Design Day also enjoyed the presence of AGEPI specialists, who offered consultations and informative materials on the protection of industrial design and other intellectual property objects, both in the country and abroad.
