Today, the State Agency on Intellectual Property celebrated Europe Day, participating in the “European Village” organized in the Great National Assembly Square and in the courtyard of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, together with other state institutions, the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the embassies of the European Union Member States, EU-funded projects, civil society organizations and the entire pro-European community in the Republic of Moldova.
The event was officially opened with speeches by Igor Grosu, Alexandru Munteanu and Iwona Piórko, who later visited the stands of the embassies of the EU Member States, European projects and participating public institutions.
AGEPI was present at the stand arranged under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, contributing, together with other public authorities, to the promotion of European values and the benefits of European integration for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. The Minister of Justice, Vladislav Cojuhari, together with a mixed team formed by representatives of the ministry and subordinate institutions, interacted with the visitors and highlighted the contribution of the authorities to promoting reforms and European values.
Visitors to the “European Village” who stopped by the AGEPI stand had the opportunity to discover more information about the field of intellectual property, to benefit from ad-hoc consultations offered by AGEPI representatives, as well as to access promotional and informative materials dedicated to the protection of intellectual property rights.
Europe Day represents an additional opportunity to reiterate the importance of the values promoted by the European Union, and also to pay tribute to one of the most democratic and inclusive projects of all time, through which European nations united to ensure peace, prosperity and respect for diversity. The presence of folk craftsmen, folklore groups and children of all ages in the Great National Assembly Square demonstrated, once again, the practical relevance and proximity of these values to citizens.
AGEPI’s participation in this event reconfirms the institution’s commitment to the European path of the Republic of Moldova and the active role that the Agency plays in the process of achieving the commitments related to Chapter 7 “Intellectual Property Law”, in the context of the accession process to the European Union.
At the same time, the event represented a valuable opportunity for dialogue and exchange of ideas with representatives of other institutions and with citizens, in an open and friendly setting, celebrating together the European successes and aspirations of the Republic of Moldova.
Europe is YOU. Peace. Freedom. Growth.
