Chișinău, June 3, 2025 – The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) and the National Anticorruption Center (NAC) held a meeting at the management level, aiming to strengthen interinstitutional cooperation relations and identify new directions for cooperation.
During the discussions, representatives of the two institutions assessed the current state of cooperation and agreed to initiate steps to sign a formal partnership agreement. The parties emphasized the importance of effective cooperation, especially in the context of the challenges related to the European integration process and the need to align with international standards in their fields of activity.
Another topic on the agenda of the meeting was the organization of joint information and training activities. These will aim to increase the knowledge of anti-corruption officers in the field of intellectual property, as well as train AGEPI staff in the field of corruption prevention.
They also discussed about supporting certain joint projects and initiatives to promote integrity in the private sector, including by recognizing companies that implement high standards of ethics and compliance within the framework of the Contest “Trademark of the Year” organized by AGEPI in common with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The meeting represented an important step towards strengthening cooperation between AGEPI and NAC, in order to achieve common objectives related to good governance, transparency and the protection of intellectual property rights in the Republic of Moldova.
