On the occasion of Europe Day-2012, State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI), along with other ministries and agencies in the country, organizes a series of events designed to promote the idea of European integration, the need for adoption of values and awareness of the benefits granted by the membership to the European family.
Europe Day events will begin on May 12, 2012, at 14.00, in Chisinau, in the Great National Assembly Square, where will be inaugurated, with the support of the EU Delegation to Chisinau, the European village. The diplomatic missions of EU Member States will share the culture, traditions and cuisine of the countries they represent.
For the first time Europe Day will be celebrated in Gagauzia, on 19 May this year, in the central square of Comrat. The program of festivities will be analogous to that of May 12, held in Chisinau.
In the actions in question, AGEPI will participate with a comprehensive information stand on the national intellectual property protection system, giving qualified advice about the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in the Republic of Moldova. It will also be promoted the Public Consumer Awareness Campaign “STOP Piracy and Counterfeiting!” organized by AGEPI, which started on 26 April this year. It will distribute informational materials (stickers, leaflets, informative flyers) on the fight against counterfeiting and piracy.
However, from May 14 to 18, in the AGEPI library will be organized a book exhibition entitled “Intellectual Property - Green Paper on the Road to Europe”.
We invite interested persons to visit the European Village and AGEPI stand.
Europe Day is officially marked on May 9 and is celebrated in the Republic of Moldova since 2006.Details of events organized on the occasion of Europe Day in the Republic of Moldova can be found at: http://eudaymoldova2012.org
