By Order of the AGEPI Director General no. 161 of 23.10.2013, issued by decision of the Committee of Experts of the Special Union for the International Classification for Industrial Designs of October 2012, from January 1, 2014, is applied the 10th edition of the International Classification for Industrial Designs (Locarno Classification) (LOC).

According to paragraph 1 of the Order:

a) in all applications for registration of industrial designs with the filing date after 01.01.2014 industrial designs shall be classified in accordance with the 10th edition of LOC;

b) will not be re-classified industrial designs:

• included in the applications with the filing date prior to 01.01.2014;
• on renewal of the registration of industrial designs
