In the period 4 – 6 November 2019, the delegation of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), led by the Interim Director General of AGEPI Andrei Popa, made an official visit to Moscow, where it met with Saule Tlevlesova, President of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO).

The purpose of the working visit was to evaluate the stage of cooperation between the two offices, to strengthen the bilateral dialogue in the field of intellectual property and to agree on priority actions for the next period.

The discussions focused on the problems faced by the users of the intellectual property system at the current stage and the identification of effective mechanisms for the enforcement of legitimate rights and interests of the applicants and owners of Eurasian patents on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

During the discussions, the Interim Director General of AGEPI Andrei Popa mentioned that it is extremely important for the Republic of Moldova that the owners of Eurasian patents, who want to maintain their patents in force in our country, may continue to benefit from protection in the Republic of Moldova.
