03/16/2026

The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) hosted on March 16, 2026, an information visit for second-year students of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (AESM), who are studying the discipline “Innovation Management” within the “Business and Administration” study program.

The main objective of the event was to familiarize young people with the national system of protection, enforcement and exploitation of intellectual property rights, as well as to highlight their strategic role in sustainable economic development and stimulating innovative processes.

During the visit, students were informed in detail about the procedures for registration of intellectual property objects, including trademarks, inventions, industrial designs. Essential aspects related to the risks of non-observance of copyright and related rights were also presented.

An important moment of the visit was the interactive lesson held by Andrei Moisei, principal specialist in the Promotion and Training Section of AGEPI, on the topic of “Innovation and Intellectual Property”. The presentation highlighted the connection between creativity, innovative activity and legal protection mechanisms, emphasizing the importance of effective protection for the economic exploitation of the results of intellectual activity in the business environment.

The discussions took place in an open and participatory setting, with students asking questions and analyzing practical case studies, which contributed to a better understanding of the applicability of theoretical knowledge. In the end, the participants appreciated the quality of the information and the opportunity for direct dialogue with AGEPI specialists, mentioning the usefulness of the acquired skills for their future careers.

The cooperation between AGEPI and AESM has a tradition of over a decade, started in April 2011, with the signing of the Partnership Agreement which provides for the involvement of AGEPI experts in the training and development process of teachers and students. This partnership contributes to strengthening the links between the academic environment and public institutions responsible for the field of intellectual property.
