The International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” Has Designated the Winners of the 18th Edition

The International Specialized Exhibition (ISE) “INFOINVENT”, being in its 18th edition, announced its winners through an online awards ceremony on November 24.

During the event, almost 450 inventions, innovative projects and creative products were exhibited, the authors of which come from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, China, Poland, France, Malaysia, Taiwan, Cambodia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Switzerland and Belgium.

The exhibited works were divided into 5 distinct compartments: inventions, plant varieties and industrial design; innovation and technology transfer projects, research projects, monographs; innovative products and services; creation of youth and creative industries.

During the awards ceremony, the Commission of Experts and the Exhibition Jury awarded a total of 295 medals, of which 138 gold, 80 silver and 77 bronze medals. The inventions were also recognized with trophies, cups, diplomas and special mentions from the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) and national partners, as well as special mentions from the international exhibitions present.

The Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu, expressed his gratitude to the participants and warmly congratulated the laureates of the exhibition. He emphasized the importance of this platform in promoting innovative creativity and technological progress.

The most prestigious distinction, the Award of the Government of the Republic of Moldova “Outstanding Inventor”, was awarded to Academician Aurelian Gulea, Dr.Hab. in chemical sciences, university professor, director of the Advanced Biopharmaceutical and Technical Materials Research Laboratory of the State University of Moldova, for his prodigious activity in the field of research and development during more than 50 years and a consistent portfolio of more than 120 patents in the fields of coordination chemistry, medicine, biopharmaceutical chemistry, etc.

Traditionally, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) awards are given to the most active inventors during the exhibition.

The WIPO National Award for Inventors was awarded to Ion Bulhac, Dr.Hab. in chemical sciences; research lecturer, Head of the SUM Coordination Chemistry Laboratory, inventor in the field of chemistry, for his significant contribution in his field of activity and for his impressive portfolio of patents, 52 in number, in various fields, including coordination chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, plant physiology or microbiology.

In the same large-scale event, the team of inventors formed by Gheorghe Anghelici, Oleg Crudu, Serghei Pisarenco, Gheorghe Lupu, Andrei Grib from the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu” of the Republic of Moldova, received the Grand Prix of AGEPI “Best Invention”, for the paper: Method of Portal Hypertension Reduction in Treatment of Patients with Liver Cirrhosis.

The Trophy for the “Best Invention Created by a Woman Inventor” for national holders went to Valeriana Pantea from the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”, for the invention in the field of medicine “Method for Assessing the Influence of Biologically Active Substances on Hydrogen Sulphide Production Capacity by a Biological Tissue”.

The Trophy “Best Invention Created by a Woman Inventor” for foreign holders was awarded to Doina Pisla, for the invention: “Parallel Robot for the Recovery of Lower Limb Mobility”, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

AGEPI also awarded the Trophy for the “Best Invention Created by a Young Inventor” to 18-year-old Ebrahim Alsaliem for an invention in the field of medicine: “Digital Stethoscope for Diagnosing Cardiopulmonary Pathologies”, State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu”.

The AGEPI Trophy “Most Successful Industrial Design” went to the China Association of Inventors for the paper: “World’s First Multi-Functional High-Strength Building Blocks”. The authors of the work are: Chi-Hui Tsou; Jian-Hua Du; Chung-Sheng Huang; Fei-Fan Ge; Ji Ma; Pranut Potiyaraj; Hang Luo; Kai Gao; Xue-Fei Hu; Chih-Yuan Tsou.

The Trophy for the “Most Successful Plant variety” at the national level was given to the Institute of Phytotechnics “Porumbeni” for the Porumbeni 230 corn hybrid, with authors such as Simion Musteata, Pantelimon Borozan, Valentina Spinu and others. The Trophy for the “Most Successful Plant Variety” at the international level was awarded to Mr. Gheorghe Iuroaea from Romania for a new variety of rose.

The Trophy for the “Most Representative Participation in the Exhibition” was presented to the State University of Moldova, as well as to the National Institute for Research and Development in Mine Safety and Protection to Explosion - INSEMEX Petrosani, Romania.

The Trophy for the “Best Creation of Youth” was awarded to the Technical University of Moldova for the work “Modular Electric Car” with authors such as Mircea Zubcu and Valeriu Podborschi. At the international level, the trophy in the same category was awarded to the University of Petrosani, Romania, for the paper “Contributions Regarding the Use of Neural Headset for Artificial Arm Control” with authors such as Sebastian Rosca and Monica Leba.

The Trophy for the “Best Monograph” at the national level was awarded to the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the State University of Moldova for the monograph “The Art of Metals. Creative Portraits of Jewelers from the Second Half of the 20th Century - The Beginning of the 21st Century” by Dr.Hab. Liliana Kondraticova. At the international level, the trophy in the same category was awarded to “Titu Maiorescu” University, Faculty of Medicine, Romania, for the monograph “Perspectives in Early Diagnosis of Sepsis and Septic Shock” by Gabriel-Petre Gorecki, Daniel Cochior and Cosmin Moldovan.

The Trophy for the “Best Innovation and Technological Transfer Project” at the national level was awarded to the Technical University of Moldova for the project “Heat Exchanger for Thermal Photovoltaic Panel” by Nicolae Covalenco, Mihai Tirsu and Ion Negura. At the international level, the trophy in the same category was offered to the National Research and Development Institute in the Field of Pathology and Biomedical Sciences “Victor Babes”, Romania, for the project “The Implementation of Biomedical Research Expertise Through the Transfer of Knowledge to the Private Sector for the Validation of Products and Services in the Fields of Medical Biotechnology and Health”.

The Trophy for the “Best Research Project” at the national level was awarded to the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu” for the project “Multifocal Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in the Treatment of Migraine Patients” by Pavel Leahu and Stanislav Gropa. At the international level, the trophy in the same category was awarded to the National Research and Development Institute URBAN-INCERC, Romania, for the project “Study on the Possibilities of Developing Cementitious or Geopolymer Composite Materials with Specific Performances by Exploiting the Photocatalytic Properties of TIO2 Nanoparticles” by Adrian-Victor Lazarescu, Andreea Hegyi, Adrian Alexandru Ciobanu, Bradut Alexandru Ionescu, Mihail Chira, Carmen Florean, Horaţiu Vermesan and Vlad Stoian.

The Trophy for the “Most Skilled Craftsman” was awarded to the Technological College of Chisinau for the collection of hand-embroidered globes by Maria and Madalina Manole.

The International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” took place in online format from November 22 to 24, 2023 and was organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Culture, the National Agency for Research and Development and National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research.

During the exhibition, an additional program of events took place in virtual format, such as the International Innovation Conference entitled “Women in Innovation and Business: Inspiration, Involvement, Investment”, the Webinar entitled “Predatory Pseudoscientific Publications as a Risk Factor for Scientific Research” and the Webinar on the topic “Valorization of Intellectual Property in Research and Innovation Projects Funded by the EU Horizon Europe Programme”.

The International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” represented an important platform for promoting innovation and highlighting the outstanding contributions of researchers and inventors from various countries. The event demonstrated once again that innovation and creativity are essential driving forces for technological progress and societal development.
