The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated in the Conference “Smart Specialization and Development Prospects in the NR”, an event that took place during the North Development Region Days, 9th edition. The purpose of the Conference was to promote smart specialization in the region as a generator of economic growth, by stimulating research, technological development, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event took place in the premises of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer NORTEK in Balti, bringing together leaders in the field of technological innovation and development, experts, and representatives of government institutions and the business environment.

Andrei Moisei, principal consultant in the Communication and Training Division of AGEPI, was one of the active participants of the conference, presenting a communication with the title: “Innovation Process: Necessary Elements in the Creation, Protection and Transfer of New Technologies”. During the presentation, the AGEPI specialist highlighted the importance of protecting and transferring new technologies in order to stimulate economic development and strengthen the position of the Republic of Moldova on the global innovation map. He also emphasized the role of intellectual property in the innovation process, highlighting the ways in which AGEPI supports inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs in protecting and commercializing their innovations.

AGEPI’s participation in this conference strengthened the Agency’s commitment to sustainable economic development and innovation in the Republic of Moldova. By promoting smart specialization and supporting research, technological development and innovation, AGEPI and its partners continue to build a solid foundation for a more competitive economy, an improved quality of life and a climate conducive to entrepreneurship and creativity.
