The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) announces the launch of the 10th edition of the Contest in the Field of Intellectual Property for Young People, dedicated to 8th-12th-grade pupils from the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
Initiated in 2017, the Contest is organized annually by AGEPI, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova (MER), the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks of Romania (OSIM) and the Romanian Copyright Office (ORDA), in the context of World Intellectual Property Day.
The 10th edition of the Contest will be held under the theme “IP and Sports: Ready, Set, Innovate!”, a theme proclaimed by the World Intellectual Property Organization for the year 2026.
The purpose of the competition is to stimulate young people’s interest in the field of intellectual property, develop creativity and innovative spirit, raise awareness of the negative phenomena of counterfeiting and piracy, cultivate a competitive spirit and intellectual and volitional skills.
The Contest may be attended by the 8th-12th-grade pupils from the vocational, post-secondary vocational and lyceum education institutions of the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
The competition will be held in two stages, as follows:
Stage I: January 19 - February 15;
- After registration, participants will receive a unique code to access the quiz.
- The test can be completed only once, in a maximum of two hours.
- Those who obtain a minimum of 10 points (out of 20) become finalists and enter the second stage.
Stage II: February 16 – March 29
- Finalists will prepare a paper (PowerPoint presentation, interview, video, study, drawing, etc.) on one of the themes proposed by the organizers.
- Papers must be submitted by March 29, 2026.
- The evaluation will be carried out by the Organizing Committee, during a meeting to which all participants will be invited.
According to the Regulations, participants will be able to win attractive prizes and will have the opportunity to develop their skills, demonstrate their potential and assert themselves in an essential field for modern society.
