The International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” Was Inaugurated


Today was inaugurated the 17th edition of the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”. The event is organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, the National Agency for Research and Development and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research, and will take place from 17 to 20 November 2021. Given the epidemiological situation generated by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), this year’s edition takes place in online format. The virtual exhibition of inventions is hosted on the platform www.infoinvent.md.

Over 400 inventions, unique innovation projects and creative products from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, China, Vietnam, Australia, Korea and Croatia are virtually exhibited in 5 compartments: inventions, plant varieties and industrial design; innovative products and services; innovation and technology transfer projects; creation of youth and creative industries.

During the inauguration ceremony, the Director General of AGEPI, Eugeniu Rusu, welcomed the participants and guests at the exhibition, noting that: “We are happy and proud to organize, even virtually, together with our partners, the 17th edition of the INFOINVENT Exhibition. Science and inventions are the pillars of a society, which is why our task, of all, is to support the people who contribute to development and advancement. We hope that the Exhibition organized by AGEPI will strengthen the communication platform between the research-innovation, educational and business fields, so that most of the exhibits reach the potential consumer, being found in implementation actions. I wish all the participants a lot of success in promoting the products and services created, and the visitors - virtual delight and amazing discoveries.”

Present at the opening event of the exhibition, Marcelo di Pietro Peralta, representative of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), appreciated the efforts of AGEPI in organizing the event and stressed that for the participants the exhibition is an opportunity to share ideas with other colleagues, which will later lead to the creation of other creative, innovative works.

Adriana Cazacu, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Research, Andrei Chiciuc, President of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research, as well as Ion Tighineanu, President of the Academy of Sciences, also came with a welcoming speech.

The participants in INFOINVENT, representatives of research and development institutions, universities from the Republic of Moldova and Romania, present at the event expressed their appreciation for organizing the event despite the pandemic, mentioning the importance of this forum to promote the innovative spirit and encourage intellectual performance for the researchers’ community.

An additional program of events will also take place in virtual format during the exhibition.

Thus, on November 17, the International Innovation Conference will take place with the title “Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Intellectual Property”.

On Thursday, November 18, an online event entitled “Development of Business Innovation and Intellectual Property Protection in the Digital Era” will take place. The workshop is dedicated to the business environment and decision makers in the field of intellectual property.

According to the program of the exhibition, on November 19, at 12.00, the festive International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT 2021” laureate award ceremony will take place.

On Saturday, November 20, the participants in the exhibition will have mentoring and counseling activities in the field of intellectual property.

The ISE “INFOINVEN”" is a forum of intellectual property, creativity and innovation. The purpose of the event is to support research and innovation, attract investment in innovation and technology transfer, promote joint projects on using and implementing the results of human creativity in the national economy, and to develop international scientific-technical cooperation.

The State Agency on Intellectual Property invites all those interested to access the “INFOINVENT” Exhibition and to discover the elaborations presented by the inventors and researchers participating in the event, which are from various fields: from the most modern aspects of science and technology to toys and household appliances.
