The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is organizing the first roving webinar in a series of online events on May 26, during which WIPO services and initiatives will be presented. The purpose of the online seminars is to provide information on various practical aspects of WIPO service offering, as well as the initiatives launched by this international organization in the context of COVID-19.
During the webinar, you will gain relevant knowledge and information of the organization’s services directly from senior WIPO experts, including practical guidance on how to:
- protect inventions internationally with the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT);
- protect brands international with the Madrid System;
- protect industrial designs internationally with the Hague System;
- protect geographical indications internationally with the Lisbon System;
- use WIPO’s global databases, etc.
The event is open to: researchers, company representatives, lawyers, innovators, representatives from universities, as well as other IP specialists and practitioners.
If you are looking to protect your intellectual property rights abroad or just want to keep up with new developments in global IP services, then this webinar is for you.
There will also be a question and answer session. The total duration of the event will not exceed 90 minutes.
The first webinar on WIPO services and initiatives is dedicated to users in Europe, Central Asia and North America and will be held in English.
The second seminar will be addressed to stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand. Other events organized by WIPO in French, Spanish and German will follow.
