State Agency on Intellectual Property, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, organized on 12 May, hours 11.30-12.30, in the central pavilion of the IEC “Moldexpo”, a Seminar entitled “Geographical Indications, Appellations of Origin and Traditional Specialties Guaranteed - Opportunities to Promote Local Products on Domestic and Foreign Market”. The seminar will take place within the three exhibitions taking place these days at the IEC “Moldexpo” JSC, under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry: International Specialized Exhibition of Foodstuffs and Raw Materials for Their Production “Food & Drinks”, International Specialized Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for Foodstuff Processing “Food Technology” and International Specialized Exhibition of Packaging, Packaging Materials and Technologies “Packaging. Depot”.
This year, 125 companies from Belarus, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine and France will exhibit their products in these events. Participating companies are looking for business partners on the Moldovan market, considering it as one of perspective.
Economic agents in the country and abroad as well as food industry operators attending the stands, will benefit from the opportunity to promote their production, as well as from a comprehensive exhibition Program which encompasses a series of round tables and seminars, the main themes of which emerge from the sector priorities, namely: the protection and exploitation of geographical indications and appellations of origin as a tool to promote products on the market, subvention of farmers, quality of foodstuff and packaging equipment, new technologies in the reference field.
