Plant varieties

The plant variety protection system offers several opportunities. It contributes to the development of science, to raise productivity and to expand trade and international scientific and technical exchange. The right in a plant variety shall be recognized and protected on the territory of the Republic of Moldova by Law no. 39-XVI on the Protection of Plant Varieties and shall be certified by a variety patent. The patent shall certify the priority of the variety, the authorship of the breeder and the exclusive right of the patent owner to use the variety.
