On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Organization (UNO), in the period 14-16 April 2015, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) will host the first ever Startups event at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. In this event, organizers will show-case how innovative entrepreneurial talent can contribute to address today’s social and environmental challenges, through new groundbreaking ideas that can become successful business.
UNECE contest is organized to gather innovative ideas and new solutions for sustainable development goals in a wide range of fields directly related to the UNECE work and is open for the participation of young companies and teams of entrepreneurs-researchers and students from the UNECE region. The organizers aim to promote not only innovative products and technologies, but also social innovation and new ways to create things.
Finalists will be invited to present their proposals before an Expert Jury and the delegates from 56 Member States, which will participate in the UNECE session in Geneva.
Winners will be announced and awarded during the session.
