The working visit of the European Patent Office (OEB) expert Astrid Langer takes place from 22 to 25 October 2018 at the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI). The purpose of the visit is to make an exchange of experience on the examination of inventions in the field of chemistry.

The agenda of the EPO representative’s working visit included meetings with AGEPI Director General Lilia Bolocan as well as with experts from the Departments of the State Agency on Intellectual Property. The EPO expert had in particular discussions with the specialists of the AGEPI Patents Department on aspects related to European patent validation procedures and aspects related to the examination of criteria of patentability of inventions.

The working visit took place in the context of the AGEPI-EPO co-operation activity program for 2018-2019, which aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of AGEPI employees and take best practices in the field of patent examination.
