In the period of 2-5 July, in Chisinau takes place the bilateral meeting at the level of Directors General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) and the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks of Romania (OSIM).
The meeting takes place in order to achieve the Cooperation Convention between AGEPI and OSIM, signed in Chisinau in March 2000, and the Addendum thereto, signed in Bucharest in March 2010.
In opening the meeting, Mr. Gabor VARGA, Director General of OSIM and Lilia BOLOCAN, Director General of AGEPI reviewed the main achievements of offices in the period of 2011-2012, noting the importance of experience exchange between experts of the two offices for the development of national intellectual property systems, taking into account their challenges at the current stage.
In accordance with the bilateral meeting agenda, it was discussed the implementation of the AGEPI and OSIM Joint Cooperation Program for 2011-2013 signed on August 31, 2011 in Tulcea, Romania. Then, AGEPI and OSIM specialists exchanged views on developments of the regional and international industrial property protection system, including priorities in cooperation between AGEPI and OSIM within the World Intellectual Property Organization, the European Patent Office and other European and Community institutions.
