The 5th edition of the Festival-Contest of Interpretation of Light and Folk Music “You too can be a Star”, took place from 24 to 27 April in Chisinau, organized by the Buiucani District Praetura in partnership with the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI).
The event aimed at promoting young performers and artistic groups from pre-university and higher education institutions from Chisinau, as well as from other districts of the Republic of Moldova. More than 300 participants enrolled in the current edition of the event. About 125 artistic numbers were presented during the two days of pre-selections.
AGEPI Director General Lilia Bolocan participated as a member of the jury, alongside of local composers and performers. The author and producer of the event was the variety music performer Rotaru Ludmila Eryka.
The Winners Gala of the Contest “You too can be a Star” was held on April 8 within the premises of the Russian Drama Theater “A. P. Cehov” in Chisinau. The jury members, professors, parents and young performers attended the ceremony. Maria Rojnevschi, Head of Promotion and External Relations Department of AGEPI congratulated the participants and the winners of the contest, wishing them a lot of success in promoting and using the talent, ensuring the organizers to further support this unusual cultural project for the Republic of Moldova “You too can be a Star”.
The participants in the contest were awarded prizes and diplomas of participation from the organizers. The ceremony culminated with a concert of variety and folk music by the laureates of the Festival-Contest “You too can be a Star”.
